Loreal Paris EverSleek Smoothing System - Great value?

U guys know I'm a sucker of beautiful packages kan kan kan?????

I know I know, I still have stock of my Redken Smooth Lock shampoo and conditioner, but sometimes, saya sentiasa gagal melawan nafsu, especially when it comes to hair care stuff. Yalaaa, who doesn't

It was a really nice Sunday where we spend some leisure time in Ikea, not to look for furniture, but more to look at some deco ideas for our new home.... (belum siap lagi ye... lambat lagi...). Sambil2 tu, we wanted to look for a baby chair for Ammar. Iyalaa...sekarang sudah pandai duduk demand2 makanan...so its only fair for him to have 1 chair for himself!

Sukanya dia.....

Anyway, we decided to make a stop at the Curve. Boleh kire dengan jari berapa kali I datang Curve ni...maybe due to distance kot... its too far from my home and plus, KLCC is my backyard so...let's say I'm pretty much self-sufficient shall we? :D

Meriah juga hari Ahad ni... tapi sale2 mcm kurang menarik...if  I came on a different day, would it be different?

Jom teman I gi Watson? Nak cari shaver.

(Hubby changes shaver as frequent as he changes his t-shirts!...)

Scan scan scan.....

Menariknya!

Apparently, Loreal Paris came out with a new range of Hair Care Products! The best part is that its SULFATE free!

Oh my god, a few months ago, you could only get sulfate free shampoos at high end salons and now, you could get at Watsons for a fraction of the price!!!

OMG!!!!!

What happen to Old range Loreal Elseve????

Tapi ni mcm lagi best! Wooo~

Of course I got hooked! I mean I've tried Elseve range, and I hope this one is better!

Bought the shampoo and conditioner, and 2 of these products only costs me less than RM 50! ...wooo~

Am I crazy?  Or genius???

Laura Mercier Foundation Powder

I'm always disheartened every time my curiosity and expectation doesn't meet the mark I was hoping it should. Many readers (I'm sure) would agree with me that if you were to spend on costly cosmetic items, you'd already have an upper hand towards certain information that you would need to know, before you actually make your purchase.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes its not due to the product, but due to the item's characteristics as a whole.

So I was loitering around Bangsar Village while waiting for my newly wed buddies to arrive, since we promised to have big mouth burgers at The Daily Grind. I'm not sure about you guys, but if I'm up for a gourmet burger, this place is my pick.

Down-On-The-Farm Burger... always satisfies me like wow!

Anyway, I have always wanted to visit Laura Mercier's beauty counter. As you guys know, I'm a huge junkie for natural, barely there makeup rather than stage-look makeups; which is why I post a lot of Bobbi Brown and Burberry entries in my blog.

I know, i know...Soon I'll post some eye-shadow reviews..promise!!!

I have no idea why, but I seem to be "eating" powder rather than wearing it. Ha ha ha... but god knows how I always prowl for face powder macam how I go for food-hunting. It irks me like mad!

So this is my purchase:-

The Packaging

I can't say I love the packaging. Feels too plasticky and very fragile. Its not as solid feeling as the other powders.

Description

The thing that had me slightly disappointed was the content. Initially I was overjoyed the fact that it was priced at RM150, which I thought was okay, judging that most powders are priced way more expensive.

But when I looked at the content description, the powder only weighed 7gms!!!

7 Grammes!!!! That's so cheapskate! Kalau macam ini, sebulan je dah habis!!!

Most other powders weighed like 11gm - 12gms on average, hence I was frustrated that this one had so little content in it.

My bad. Should have checked the content first online before purchasing. Aisehhh........

Coverage

Its very sheer I would say, something that I really liked about it. It also leaves a barely-there feeling of no-makeup makeup. Plus point there. But don't expect it to cover any imperfections (a lot on my face I would say), cuz its not meant to do that.

Verdict

I would say its a practical powder; no fuss, you can bring it anywhere since its lightweight. Coverage is good, not cakey yet not drying. Even though it leans on to more mattifying effect, its suitable to be used by both oily or dry skinned people.

Would I buy it again?
I must say I love this better than the Dior Light Veil  previously purchased. But for the content of 7gms???
I must seriously think....

MAYDAY MAYDAY!!! Moisture Needed!!!

Doesn't the sight of this excites you?????????

In the effort to work like crazy (work like crazy pun harus ada effort kah?), we constantly drown ourselves with gallons and gallons of caffeine (Guilty as charged!) to keep our brains boosted (or shall I say, kurang mengantuk maka pekerjaan menjadi lebih produktif?)

Namun, kita lazimnya melupakan bahawa betapa pentingnya air untuk perkembangan sel-sel diri kita... be it for the healthy development of body cells, to quench thirst, and not to forget, our dear skin.

I'm 26...going to 27 next year... A friend once asked me, is it okay to start anti-ageing products at this stage of life???

Well, to be honest...in some cases, our numerical age doesn't actually reflect our true biological age i.e we may be ageing older than we are due to work stress, family stress, financial distress etcetra etcetra...

So should we start on anti-ageing?

My safe answer would be no harm...But then again, some anti-ageing skin cares are priced HIGHER than the normal ranges for us young (boleh dikatakan) people. So is using anti-age fighters really necessary or somewhat another marketing ploy to make us spend more???

Hang-on a second, aku ni sudahlah mempunyai masalah kulit kering, dah tu nak start dgn anti-ageing pulak?? Bankruptlah ini macam!!! Aiyoo....

So I need a solution. And I need it quick.

So in Guardian, I came across this:-

Description (Cuz I'm so Malas to Describe today...)

INNOVATION:
This daily 24h nourishing cream from RoC® combines moisturising agent Hydrovance®* with a cocktail of vitamins and essential nutrients, for a threefold moisturising action:
  • attract and lock water
  • rebuild reserves of nourishing ingredients
  • strengthen the skin barrier

RESULTS:
Every day your skin is intensely nourished and feels soft and supple, for 24h hours of comfort.

USE:
Apply every day on a perfectly cleansed face and neck. Its rich and fast absorbing texture constitutes an excellent base for make-up.

SKIN TYPE:
Dry skin.

To simplify things, this is a highly hydrating night moisturiser...absolutely luscious for us with dry skin.
And to add, since ROC is well-reknowned for its kind-to skin, anti-ageing products, you could say that this is great anti-ageing product for younger skin like us!

LIKE WOW!!!

Look at the creamy texture....

RESULTS

After using this for a week my skin not only felt lovely and soft but actually looked noticeably plumper, which I’m putting down to it being more hydrated.

If you’re searching for something to to hydrate your dry, air-cond exposed skin, I’d definitely recommend giving RoC Hydra+ Rich 24hr Comfort Nourishing Cream since it’s not too expensive either. RoC Hydra+ is also available in a light texture that’s suitable for normal to combination skin types. My bro's using the lighter version of which, he bought it at RM35++ after 50% discount!

Best tak best tuuuu...........

RoC Hydra+ Rich 24hr Comfort Nourishing Cream retails at RM79. Great value~

Love, Jue

Boscia Bright White Mask

While sheet masks continues to be my personal favourite (easy, cooling, comforting, no mess), I find that they only provide short term visible results. Makes u glow one day, and everything turns normal the next day.Thank god for science and technology, there are always other alternatives when you pretty much get bored of the usual same stuff...

For those who really know me, they would know that my favourite place to spend time in KLCC would either be Bakin' Boys, for their lovely muffins and cookie milkshakes, or Starbucks for pure coffee-holic experience (sorry CBTL, you don't really satisfy me enough...) or Mothercare (Ammar!), or other than that, is Isetan or Sephora (yup, you guessed it).

Btw, is it just me or that most Sephora skincares not sold in Malaysian department stores are pretty much priced higher than what you pay overseas?

Ponder ponder ponder...

Nevertheless, I'm always prowling inside Sephora everytime I'm in KLCC. Yes, I'm only woman.

At this point of time, I was looking for a mask. Sure, peels have helped me a lot, but then again, too much exposure towards Glycolic Acid is not advisable.

Plus, skin caring is a marathon, not a sprint... so I don't wanna lose steam awal-awal, and become malas later on he he he....

I spoke to one SA, and as expected, she pointed out on my spots and unevenness. I gave her a sob sob story of my unexpected break out with the C serum (yes, you know which one), that caused me to broke in so many pimples, hence loads of acne scars.

The SA informed me that at this point, using serums to treat the visible acne scars is not enough. I needed to use some sorta exfoliation + brightening product to 'lift off' the dark marks and to peel off the dead cells first, in order to let the serum absorb into the skin.

(hey, isn't that what I've been doing??? Nevermind...dengar saja lah...)

So she recommended me this peel-off mask that helps to exfoliate and peel off the dead skin:-

BOSCIA BRIGHT WHITE PEEL OFF MASK

Sesungguhnya, aku kurang menggemari peel off masks. They're messy, hard to remove and can cause dryness. But the SA convinced me that mask ini tidak mengeringkan. Claims that it helps to increase hydration.

Plus, for a big tube, only costs me RM90 sumthng...Menarik menarik....

Hair-Oetry!

Want More Hair?

I'd love
I think
more hair
more hair
like a big
old grizzly bear
more hair makes
you manly
more hair
makes you tough
more hair feels
like carpet
more hair keeps
you rough

more hair
for pretty ladies
to rub their faces on
more hair for
guys to jealous of
and more locks that can
be flung

I think more hair would be awesome
but I wouldn't wanna overdo it
because too much hair would make
me like a little furry blanket
and I couldn't cover both of us
just you and that ain't fair
more hair!

Here's to all the beautiful ladies out there. Aye Aye!
